Church Writer's Group

Our CWG started in February with ten individuals signed up. We have had a great time of fellowship, Bible study and writing.

Vision: see our community, our nation, our world learn and understand what God’s Word says and learn to obey His commands.

Mission: make disciples of the millions of readers of secular media who proclaim to know and believe in God and Jesus as His Son.

Strategy: communicate effectively to the broadest possible audience.

Purpose: disciple readers of the secular (non religious media). The work is to teach obedience to everything Jesus has commanded us.

Read various newspapers – check out issues going on in our world. Be open to what the Holy Spirit leads.  Pray and seek Godly wisdom on issues. Be well informed about current events.

Write clearly and compassionately teaching obedience to the commandments of Christ reflecting the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control.

Meetings are once a month – one published piece as a letter to the editor per month. Work on your letter and bring to meeting to share with group.

Each letter should contain at least one Scripture, carefully woven into the text, reinforcing the Christ centered truth being taught.

Sound research is valued; Group members share resources and ideas.

Writing projects are discussed, critiqued, and strengthened by group review. Encourage one another. Check out our blog at https://churchwritersgroup.wordpress.com

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, ….teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28: 18-20
