New Devotional to be Published in Jan 2014

Here is an excerpt of my new devotional book Happy New You.  This is a 365 day devotional.        

                                                                            Read Genesis 7-9

A New Day 

"As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease." Gen 8:22

Noah accomplishes God's plan as he builds an altar on dry land.  And God says, "And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done."  Gen 8:21b

We live in a corrupt world as in Noah's day.  Evil, greed, and violence are all around us.  When God examines our heart what does He find?   Are we known for our godly actions and not just for our words?

We have 24 hours in each day.  What are we doing with our time?  Are we accomplishing what God has placed on our heart?  A new day has arrived!  Like Noah, can we be counted as good and faithful servants?

A Prayer for Today

 Lead me Lord this new day to obey!  Guide my life so one day I will hear, "Well done my good and faithful servant."
